You gotta pay to be an ffr elite supporter, which can't be done anymore since a lot of poo happened. You get a nice shiny blue name and a couple other thingys.

haha shiny blue name sounds fun but idk if it would be worth it, when will ppl be able to buy subbys again?

It's like 40$ a tear to subscribe or something. You'll get a blue name in the profile chat, as well as a subscribers room to talk with others supporters. You can view other peoples level stats, play new songs a bit ealier than others & a few other features i believe.

The subscriber feature may not be brought back at all. They haven't made a decision on that yet as far as I know.

The current benefits to being a subscriber are:

Blue name and custom title
Access to the Subscriber forum
No ads on the site
Access to beta test game features
Early access to new songs

Currently we're not accepting new subscriptions as we're still a) getting everything working (and you shouldn't have to pay for broken things) and b) Re-evaluating all of our policies in the wake of moving from a for-profit to a non-profit business model.

If subscription as a concept goes away, I'd expect the majority of "Subscriber" features to become replaced with "Veteran" features for those who've been with the site for a minimum time. We've also talked about keeping at least subscription in some form for the "No ads" as ad revenue becomes one of the only ways to actually pay for bandwidth and hosting, but people ought to still have a method to get around being advertised at.
