I have something to rant about when it comes to people reaction to things when it some to symbols on certain characters that are associated with evil on a good guy. I have two examples of this statement for you. First example is that people are calling Ichigo Kurosaki a nazi for no reason. They call him a nazi just because he has a swastika on the hilt of his bankai and they don't have facts of him being a nazi or not. People should not assume that he is a nazi just because he has a swastika for a hilt on his bankai. The second example of this problem is that people are calling Izzy Sparks a satanist for no reason. People are just calling Izzy Sparks a satanist because he has an inverted pentagram on his fretboard in guitar hero 2. People should not assume that he is a satanist just because he has an inverted pentagram on his fretboard in guitar hero 2. I am going to say that people should not assume that people are evil just because they have signs of evil. People should look at the facts and decide if they were really evil or not. People are just ingorant to not know if people are really evil or not.
I can't believe people are calling Ichigo Kurosaki a nazi and Izzy Sparks a satanist.

its not a swasitka its the symbol of the sun if you have any knowledge of japanese culture. The nazis stole the symbol of the sun and slightly rotated it. just an update for people.Comment

Oh and as for the Izzy sparks thing i really don't give a **** if he is or isn't a satanist. If he wants to worship the devil then go ahead rofl, that is his choice. He is a god damn video game character. Also if Ichigo was a nazi i wouldn't care either i'm just saying i don't believe you should confuse cultural symbols without being properly informed.
anyways i do agree with foilman dumb ass thread i just wanted to clear that up.Comment

Not even close, bro.
The symbol you refer to is "日". The "swastika" is "卍". It does not mean "sun" at all.
And if you know anything about Japanese culture, you might know that "nihon"/"nippon" is what they call their country. They write it as "日本". The first kanji there clearly is "sun" and the second means "book", but in this context they together mean "sun-origin", which is part of the reason why Japan is known as the land of the rising sun.
I've heard that the swastika in Japanese culture denotes luck (as that is apparently the function in its original form), but I don't know if this is right.

I think it's more eastern religions (Hinduism, Buddhism, etc.) + India than Japanese culture. Japan uses it on maps to denote Buddhist temples, I guess. That's about as far as it goes.
I mean, I just skimmed the wiki article on it, but that's what I got.
tl;dr Afro's right, swastika usage in the East usually means "luck". Think talisman.

It's America. People will complain about anything that is even slightly resembling something offensive, even if it's not. If they can make it to where they can sue somebody or something, they will.Comment
