    Halogen's ITG Originals

    Files are in order by difficulty. Click the banners to download each file. Descriptions after each file.

    Sunrise ~Sanxion7 Remix~
    Artist: Sanxion7
    [Expert: 9]

    Notes: When looking for a song to step for StepMix4 (never again will I submit in a contest that poorly judged), I had to find a song that was under a creative commons license that could fit the contest. This was the result of it. A low 9 with a few crosses and a slowdown that you don't even have to worry about.

    ==============================================

    Sextasy ~Radio Edit~
    Artist: Eastclubbers
    [Expert: 10]

    Notes: After playing Cloud's "Sexplosion" chart--I immediately became hooked to Eastclubbers. After listening to a bunch of their songs, I came across this one. There is quite a bit of syncopation in here, so some 16th notes might be there to simply represent a general Expert difficulty feel. Low 10.

    ==============================================

    Plastic Method
    Artist: ZTS
    [Expert: 10]

    Notes: When I downloaded the Dark Chancellors Pack, I ended up coming across Stargroup's chart for this, and it had me frustrated for a long time because I simply could not get the AAA. I made three revisions of the file; the first revision was a terrible 13 foot chart with 32nd trills, and I decided that following the piano near the end of the song would not do. I completely rewrote the chart, and then rewrote the ending once more until I was happy with it. Filled with some slow 16th crosses, it's a mid to high level 10.

    ==============================================

    Fujiyama Panic
    Artist: DJ Technorch
    [Expert: 11]

    Notes: This is the first of two charts that I wrote for the one of the pad packs that ~Zero~, Oni-Paranoia, and I were leading (Ethereal Rising). I originally had plans for making this a stamina training chart with a long 16th run at the end, but it was rejected. I ended up re-writing it and I'm still satisfied with this chart to this day. This chart remains unchanged from the Ethereal Rising version. The chart features some double BPM stops to accent the really powerful 12th note bass drums that happen. Afterward, it's filled with some technical patterns that make it a bit hard to score on. Average out the mid-11 difficulty in technicality with the high-10 in step density, and you run into a hard to score on, low 11 block chart.

    ==============================================

    Life is a Construct
    Artist: Arkitech and Double Decker
    [Expert: 11]

    Notes: One of the files that I sent to the second pack that ~Zero~, Oni-Paranoia, and I (lazily ) led (Ethereal Rebellion). I ran into this song via Mungyodance 2, and I thought the chart was just really plain. So I took the song and decided to put a more percussion/melodic matching chart. The chart is very straightforward until the end, which is nothing but 8th note crosses to follow the key of which the synthesizers are (change key, change direction). Another low 11--mostly for 16th note bursts at a decently high BPM.

    ==============================================

    SIN
    Artist: esti
    [Expert: 11]

    Notes: When starting solo, I was attracted to this song. I started writing a chart for it but I couldn't get it to the point of being satisfied with what I had. So, I made an experimental ending. The chart features an 8th note double-stepping gimmick that follows the higher synthesized melody. There are also a decent amount of 16th note bursts at a decently high BPM, including after the double-stepping gimmick. Because of this, the chart requires a bit more stamina, a mid 11.

    ==============================================

    Inscrutable Battle
    Artist: Suguru Matsutani
    [Expert: 11]

    Notes: Another song that I stepped because of a pack. When I downloaded Red Fraction Pack, this happened to be the first song that I played, and I absolutely adored it. Then, this chart was made, submitted to the Ethereal Rising pack, and was accepted. The chart uses hands for accented snares, and follows the melody with very crossover happy patterns. There's also a very fast piano lead-in right in the middle of the song, which is nothing but candle-stepping (13 notes). Due to the sudden burst of speed, as well as the draining crossover ending, this is a high 11.

    ==============================================

    Zexon
    Artist: Ryo
    [Expert: 12]

    Notes: Happened to be looking for something random to step and I found this one in the FFR simfile database. I decided to make a very minor cut to the song for stepping, and it ended up being the second file that got accepted to Ethereal Rebellion. Fairly straight forward chart until after the slowdown, which starts to add a bit of a technicality challenge. However, the runs aren't very long in this song, but are faster than Katharsis, and add a bit more turns/candles. Low 12.

    ==============================================

    Katharsis
    Artist: bubbles
    [Expert: 12]

    Notes: Anyone want to guess where I heard this for the first time? The chart follows the piano for a majority of the song, with some background noises in a few spots. The chart was made to be a bit of a run practice song. Unfortunately, this file isn't quite finished sync wise. I didn't get the sync directly from anyone so I had to do the sync on my own and it's not quite perfect yet. I know that it's on enough for you not to get anything lower than an excellent in judgments. With really long 16th runs at about 150, this makes for a low 12 as well.

    ==============================================

    Around the Galaxy
    Artist: NISH
    [Expert: 12]

    Notes: Searched through the random solo packs and found this one. I absolutely loved this song, and when I heard that it was from IIDX, I was surprised--it actually sounded pretty damn good for it. This song was also made for not only run training, but accuracy training. The runs in this song occur much longer than Katharsis--and while slower, are harder to score on because there is slightly unclear foot-switching gimmick. The very end of the song also has a set of 12th note stops that will trip you up if you don't look at it before trying. Because of all these factors, this is a mid 12.

    ==============================================

    Phoning to Mercury
    Artist: Canblaster
    [Expert: 13]

    Notes: A long time ago, a small group of us were planning a huge project that never got off the ground, called Amethyst, which was essentially going to be a spin-off of the Mungyodance series. Unfortunately, the person leading the project could not get anything off the ground because he picked many steppers who just lacked in work effort. After talking with WinDEU on a random day, I heard this song and asked him to send it to me. We both made charts to the full version of this song. This chart originally followed each and every melody with 24th bursts, but I decided to lay off a bit and step the 24ths to the ones that were more obvious to the ear. Clocking in at almost 5 minutes, this song is relentless and will leave you extremely drained, even if you are an experienced player. This chart boasts lots of 24ths, a long 16th run section, and just overall tiring patterns. This chart is a high 13--be glad that it's only 132 BPM. Be sure to look over the gimmicks before playing this chart.

    ==============================================

    Love Colored Master Spark
    Artist: UI-70
    [Expert: 15]

    Notes: Being the touhou player that I am, I have always loved Touhou 8. Even deeper than that, the Stage 4 boss music (known as Marisa Kirisame's theme, or Love Coloured Master Spark in game) just got to me. It was so powerful and it gets you really pumped to try to dodge that danmaku. But then, I heard this rock remix. Let's just say, the only thing on my mind was...make this **** as hard as you possibly can without being stupid. This chart was spawned. The song begins with some 16th note mini-runs at 195, following some percussion and the main melody. The first climax, the guitar solo, really builds up for a really big section. Following the guitar solo, you have a breakdown that finishes with a half BPM slowdown...and then just an explosive climax of long 16th runs at 195. Not ready for Dragonforce? This song is about as close as you're going to get to it without doing the real thing. This chart just flat out hurts. Unless you feel like you're able to push yourself to the limit, don't even bother with this. This chart is a flat-out survival chart--rated a 15.

    I need new graphics for Katharsis and SIN but I'm too lazy to make them. I'm going to use this thread for any future files that I make.

      lol you

      EDIT: Seriously, you're an idiot if you have nothing better to contribute than that. Pad play is a style of play too--much better than keyboard will ever be.

              Haha.

              Also--Kommi, the chart is slightly different from the one you played because it: a.) might not be mine, and/or b.) I changed it from the old Expert 9. Added some better patterns, a bit more symmetrical in some spots.

                Nice to see you finally put some more files up here. =)

                I think I've only played your Ethereal Rising/Rebellion files, so I'll remember to pick up a few more.

                  I have one more pad file that I could put up here but I haven't made GFX for them just yet.
