I want to build a custom laptop but I don't have much knowledge of what to buy and what's good for it. My price cap is basically nonexistent but I don't want to pay over $1500 unless my laptop is going to be Godly. What I'm looking for in terms of an answer or reply is what compiles a laptop and what should I look for when shopping for each individual component? What makes what better than the other competitors?

Re: ATTN: People that are good with PC/laptop hardware
You don't really put together a laptop like you do a self-built PC. It's one of the reasons laptop prices are quite jacked up compared to a PC of comparable performance (the mobility aspects/technology of the mobile brand parts plus the cost+margin of having it premade).Comment

Well, I guess you could always just make a wooden case for it. *shrug*Comment
