Well, my friend and I got Halo 1 for the PC, and we tried making a multiplayer game, but when we make a game for us to play, we can never find it on the game list. We can see other MP games going on, but when we make one we can't see it. Help?

Re: Trouble with Halo 1 for the PC
Isn't there a friends list on Halo 1?
And if you can't do that, can't you get the ip address of the servers being made?
1.) Make a sever
2.)Find the IP of your server int eh console.
3.) Give it to you friend.
4.) Friend manually connects via console.
It works this way in CS, so I'm just oging based off that. Try it.
Just type in "Connect*space*"ip address goes here"

Re: Trouble with Halo 1 for the PC
Maybe you need 2 PC's total to play together. Just like in CS, if you want to run a dedicated server, you need to computers if you want to play on that server. You need on PC to run the server, and the other to play on it. So maybe that's why.

Re: Trouble with Halo 1 for the PC
Then you would need a total of 3.
1.) 1 computer to RUN the server online.
2.) 2 other computers so you guys can both play on that server.

Re: Trouble with Halo 1 for the PC
Around $500 or so.
But what you really want to worry about is bandwidth. You need to have some high speed internet to run a good server. If you are running 56 kbps, this server isn't going to run well, and will have low amount of people playing on it. But if it's just for you and your friend, then it would work alright.
