HI GUYS!
I want to be done with FFR. But I have like half a gigabyte of WIPs in my stepmania folder that I've worked very hard on and I feel kinda incomplete letting all that go to waste. So I'm gonna release all my works in progress. Basically, these are there for you to work on them, make 'em better. If you want to label it as a collab, or as totally your own work, either one is your choice. All I ask is that you be respectful of the amount of time I put into the file vs. how much time you put in, and submit it accordingly.
Individual notes on the WIP files:
Ah Shwe Bah- This file is like half done, I remember I was gonna cut the song or something because its hella long. Lots of charts here, at least one of them is like Iamme or MadGoliath's chart (I forget which) that I copied to use their sync... Gonna take some work, this one is.
Alone- Huge dump, I was stepping the song as a favor to the artist, but he probably hasn't been on the site in like 2 years lol. Boring, but pretty much finished.
Champion Freeverse- Massive old collab between me, Bluguerilla, and dag12. If someone cares to finish it, it will be an epic 4 person collab. It is a rap song = huge syncing issues, good luck
Climax of the Week- SSH file. It has rlyfast guitar parts zooooooooom (read: offsync because I sucked at syncing and still do XD)
Ding Dong Song- lawl
Max Metal- SSH song. Rly fast guitar. Offysnc. Barely even started. Probably shouldn't have even included it. Oh well.
Of Course You Need and nEed and neEd and neeD and NEED Me- Heavy is my chart, oni and standard are both totally stolen to use as sync. Potential for a good chart here possibly. (Do we even have permission? lol I forget) Should you submit this, this song will have the dubious honor of longest song name in FFR. yay?
Revolutionary Etude V2- good luck
Rudi the Techno Pioneer- Raggacore Christmas song. Blu suggested it to me. I'm like 4 bars in. Would be a fun hard song for the holiday season '09, should you care to step it before then.
The End of Fugues- Kickass song, limited potential though for steps. I got pretty far in this one. I forget if I ever got permission. Be sure to check out this artist on Newgrounds, he has great stuff.
The Knights Who Say Ni- Sooo much potential here. Good luck getting permission from this no-name Russian dude... I forgot if I got permission or not. Most of the steps are copied from the file I made that is on the DB, but they were FFR-ized slightly. I also planned to use the uncut version of the song for fully Monty Python-ish glory.
Unreal Tournament Razorback- Another SSH song lol, heavy is my chart and oni is stolen for syncing. Lots of potential but it's gonna take lots of work too...
------------------------------
Next, here's a bunch of songs I think I submitted at one point. Not sure if they got rejected or are still in the queue or are lost in forever in Tass's mailbox or something. The difference with these files compared to the ones above is that these are all pretty much finished and just need tweaking. I would also like to ask that my name to be attached to any of these files should they get in, because I feel I worked hard enough on all of them to ask that much. Basically, you can work on them, make 'em better, or hell, submit them in my name if you think they are good enough as is (maybe the judging has changed since my time, I wouldn't know).
Individual notes on select songs:
Night Walker- Essentially ready for submission, but possibly offsync. Great song, I like the steps. I'm kinda nostalgic about this file for some reason, please be gentle with it.
The Crow's Eyes- Song I stepped back when dBu was all the rage and Rebirth was a judge. Was turned down (quite reasonably) for being too long and just boring as ****. If it is cut well it will make a fun file.
St. Scarhand- This is pure sex manifested in a .dwi file... Don't **** it up, please.
Everything else- All of these were files that I think got rejected for some random reason or another. Some of them are joke files and have no chance in hell of getting into FFR, but hey, it's worth a try. Others are very good. Just check the old batch notes if you want some idea of what to do with them.
------------------------------
Either way, I hope this results in a lot more good files for the community and not a ****storm of people submitting my WIPs without working on them. I trust today's judges, whoever they might be, to, well, judge these files. lol that didn't really say much, but you get the idea.
