my normal approach is useless here.

    By zhul4nder

    Some things,
I can explain very well and intricately

    Some things,
    I find its derivative
    I find an answer
An answer that will give me the credit I deserve
    Some things are logical, methodical
I suppose these things are easy for me
They make sense however abstract they are

    But what about forgiveness?
    What’s the cosine of forgiveness?
Can I place it in an integral and find the area of forgiveness in my heart?
If I graph compassion and sympathy
Will that intersection be my solution?

It is as though these things are like the single point undefined on a linear line
    Simple as it seems
So simple as it approaches that undefined point
    Predictable as ever could be
    But at that one point
However it is derived, rooted, divided, multiplied
    It is undefined
It literally is what ****s you over
What the test always asks you about

Life’s GE’s have no study guides
    No textbooks
Not even a professor on this obscure topic
The closest we’ve ever gotten is at the brink of death
But even then, they were still all just amateurs
Only tasting what the true meaning of life

    Maybe, just maybe
Maybe our intense discussions of physics and chemistry
Calculus and the most intense moral controversies
    Need only one last operation
A simple and most fundamental answer
    The addition of love

I am a total math geek, and the fact that I understood it made it better....It was really....touching in a sort of geeky way, but really good.

    Thanks for posting this.

Not only did you not credit it, but I find it funny that you took a joke about how math and love have nothing to do with each other, and with it, made a poem saying "MAYBE MATH AND LOVE HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH EACH OTHER." Which, by the way, makes absolutely no sense.

Also, you don't have an ounce of lingual tact. This reads like sandpaper in the eyes.

this section literally made me laugh

this is a pretty dumb topic to write about, and you didn't do much as far as the writing is concerned either

critiquing a piece with flames, I love you arrogant assholes

this was purely for enjoyment and clearly ya'll took it as though I were expecting it to be framed as a literary classic.

I wish I was your derivative, so I could lay tangent to your curves.
