    Patapon

    I just made a thread about the new Rock Band : Unplugged that mentioned Patapon, when I relized, there was no thread on Patapon! A quick search only showed two posts about the game, mine on Unplugged, and one in a thread on recommended PSP games.

    So anyone else play either one? I own both, though both games are pretty much the same, 2 being just a continuation of 1 [ for the most part ], both games are, IMO, both equally as good and addicting.

    Patapon is a cross of an rpg style game ( you " evolve " your guys and outfit them with weapons and armor, using items you find as loot when you kill guys ), an RTS game ( you need to watch whats going on and react according to current situations ), and, last but certainlly not least, a rhythm game! ( telling your guys to attack / defend / etc all take corrisponding timed rhythm inputs. Its kinda weird to explain, but ALOT of fun ). The blending of these 3 elements togther was done, stranglly enough, extremlly well, imo. I found some of the later levels ( such as fighting a lvl 30+ boss such as Dodonga [ easiest ] ) to be a bit fustrating in that there only seemed one set tactic to win ( tatepon hero with all beats perfect = your army is invincible, off on a perfect beat one time = you DEAD . . . . = kinda sucks :/ ), but other then that, the game was alot of fun and even after having beat it, I still find myself playing and farming bosses to evolve more of my patapons ( currentlly Im on Patapon 2 ).

    Anyone else have any thoughts? I'm interested in others opinions on these games.
