    Miku Hatsune: Project Diva

This was mentioned in one of my weekly email subscriptions....

Miku Hatsune: Project Diva is Crypton Media's first game for Vocaloids (I think) for the PSP, coming out on July 2nd, being developed by, you know who? SEGA. Yes, those guys. Who would have seen this coming? Sega calls it 'The ultimate fan item'.

Being for the PSP, you probably can't expect it to have super great graphics like the video, but having more emphasis on 3D and Miku dancing, I'm guessing this would be hard to pull off.

Now, the way that the steps or buttons come in is pretty interesting. Think omni-directional StepMania, plus drunk mode. Instead of just coming down like most games, they come in from almost every direction, also leaving a trail behind them. There's also a grey spot on the screen with a timer which tells where the buttons will go to and when to hit them.

There's of course the combo, and the rating of hits. I only found Safe, Fine and Cool. Maybe the negative rate would be Bad or something. Kinda dumb words to use, but I guess it's fine if you can only fit 4 letters on the screen.

I'm assuming the timing of the notes isn't on the music, but more of Miku's dancing. Speaking of her, you can actually customize Miku's clothing. Not only that, but you can step songs yourself, also choosing which style of dancing Miku does throughout the video and even the background.

Or if you don't get what I'm saying, also check out the other gameplay promotional video.

So do you fans think that this game will indeed be 'The ultimate fan item' of Miku fans?

If you say 'yes', Miku will give you a kissu.

Yeah, as if the Manga and Dojinshi Hentai Manga weren't enough, she doesn't even have her own anime!

Several fans would.... if Sega also decided to localize it. I highly doubt that.

              Re: Miku Hatsune: Project Diva

Old news for me since I saw the trailers months ago, but still nonetheless this would be one of the only legitimate reasons for me to buy a PSP.

You forgot to mention that Rin, Len, Luka, Meiko and Kaito are all playable characters as well. Also costumes are highly customizable. Song choices are pretty much all of the most popular Vocaloid singles, such as: Miku Miku ni sh iteageru, World is Mine, Black Rock Shooter, Hatsune Miku no Syoush itsu and more.

Looks fun. The added feature of being able to create your own file especially intrigues me. What also makes me wish I could get this is the fact that the song Setsuna by Shiki will be in the game (not as a playable song).

(Yes, I know this is a slight bump.)

Will get it. Do you think it'll be released outside of Japan? I'm doubting it at the moment. Looks like another import job for me I thinks.

                    Re: Miku Hatsune: Project Diva

Got the game and damn is Miku a petty bitch. It is certainly the ultimate vocaloid fan game as it has thousands of costumes, different vocaloids and even a song import and stepping as well as a photograph mode and choosing camera angles. It is pretty challenging surprisingly.

Miku is very tough with her ratings and a few not exactly timed button presses will cause you to fail or make the difference between a great and a standard rating and this is only on low star songs on normal. So plenty challenging

Perfected most of the songs except Hard Mode of Christmas Song..

The game's gotten pretty boring now. >_<

just an easy song in general --- except a few hard songs such as the Disappearance of Hatsune Miku and Christmas Carol on Hard Mode

but unlocking all the costumes and furniture for Miku // her room is a pretty challenging task --- this is because you either need to perfect almost every song or play ALL of them on ALL modes 5 times each LOL

Yeah turns out when you get used to it it is a pretty easy game. There are a few hard fast songs but nothing too difficult.

But I guess there is plenty of hip shaking and panty shots if thats your game.
