I was expecting this to be really bad but it wasn't
Not bad, some parts didn't quite fit well together though.Originally posted by TheRapingDragonThe ability to lick the clit and the vagina and apply gentle pressure at the same time with one upward lick is something the small tongued of us can only dream about.Originally posted by spreadNvGot dibs on La Camp.

Re: Everytime We Touch vs. Blue (Da Ba Dee) - Everytime I'm Blue (Mashup)
Now do it for over an hour with 20 tracks live haha (I kiddd I kiddd)
Yeah. Could have been a lot better though, there was a lot of clashing with the percussion, but from what you said, you did it in audacity, so I'm just going to guess you don't know about the finesse of EQing?
My suggestion is next time you do a mash up like such, take the track you're going to start mashing in, and cut out some of the highs and lows, that way you keep the mids (Where most synths and vocals sit) and it will blend a lot nicer...
And when beatmatching the two, try to keep the key correction, that way the vocals don't start sounding lower or higher when sped up or slowed down.
Definitely have fun with mashing up. It's always interesting to see imaginative creations
Not bad though! Keep it up!
(Another neat little trick, is when choosing tracks to mashup, if you have the ear for key recognition, mashup tracks that are composed in the same key, and that they follow the circle of fifths together. There are free, and spendy programs out there that can tell the key for you, but if done right, mixing harmonically will make mixing and mashups sound AMAZING)Originally posted by Spec & ApersonWe Rate You: Cool Motherfucer. 9/10Comment

. when you say cut out the highs and lows do you mean to just allow a certain range? also if by key correction you mean changing the key on the fly i tried it and for some reason audacity sped up the song at those parts...guess i maybe need to pay to make that work. also everytime we touch is in f and blue (da be dee) is in g, which is kinda far from harmonically

Re: Everytime We Touch vs. Blue (Da Ba Dee) - Everytime I'm Blue (Mashup)
Yeah, that's what I was talking about key-wise.
So since F & G aren't in the same key, they will clash synth-wise. Not in a bad way, but if they WERE in the same key, they would sound perfect, y'know?
And when I mean cut the highs and lows, I mean, cut the lower frequencies (aka bass) a bit and highs being higher frequencies (some of the hats and snares) subtly... It will make it sound a lot cleaner.
As far as keeping the tracks in key, what I meant was when speeding up one song or slowing it down so they both match at the exact same BPM, when adjusting the speed, make sure that you keep the key intact, that way if one song has to be sped up to keep in line with the BPM, then the vocals of that sped up song are just sung faster, instead of sounding like a chipmunk...
...Not sure if Audacity allows that as an option... But it's worth researching...Originally posted by Spec & ApersonWe Rate You: Cool Motherfucer. 9/10Comment

Re: Everytime We Touch vs. Blue (Da Ba Dee) - Everytime I'm Blue (Mashup)
yea changing the tempo in audacity doesnt change the pitch, which is what i did for blue, as opposed to changing the speed, which changes both. they are in the same key...i just made everytime we touch in blue's key of g. so basically the song is the tempo of everytime we touch and the pitch of blue. ok so just remove the higher and lower frequencies...also for some reason by changing the pitch of everytime we touch some of the stronger percussion mainly when she isn't singing gets screwed up. guess audacity isn't so good with key changes...sigpic
