Why can't I AAA any song?!

    Why can't I AAA any song?!

    Seriously! Even the very very very simple 1-5 footer songs I'm unable to AAA.

    Only if I'm EXTRAAAAAA careful with every single note will I be lucky enough to AAA a song. How do people do it? Honestly.. My keytaps sound on note but it will register as a random good. This only discourages me to even attempt to AAA any song higher than a four footer. I haven't even AAA'd any 2/3 footers yet, haha.

    Does the fact that I'm using Vista have anything to do with this.

    I've heard a couple rumors about that...

    Edit: "Footer" refers to the difficulty..

      Vista could be causing it to lag, but if not, it could just be that you haven't played enough.

      It's all about the muscle memory, the more you practice, the quicker and more accurately your muscles well respond. You may have to focus on some things a lot harder when you're less developed at it, but in time it just comes second nature.

              I couldnt AAA anything like 2 months ago. Now i have like 6 lv.8 AAA's

                  Right before I got vista I got my first level 9 AAA.
                  Since then I can't AAA level 5s... I wonder.

                          It could be your keyboard; Iv got different keyboards I used to use and i used to noticed while played stepmania at my dads house with this crap keyboard it would get random goods/greats and just wouldnt be right on for some reason. Also wireless keyboards are delayed a slight second cause of the wirelessness. Im using a wired microsoft keyboard atm and it works alright. the keys are spaced apart strange though but its perfect for timing

                              Vista plays no part in your problem... unless its your specs... What you really have to do is set your computer monitors refresh rate to what it should be. And set the lag. but if that isnt the issue it takes time... Im unable to AAA eiken meiyu (Or wtf is it) but I can AAA lvl 10 songs.

                                  Also, keep in mind that FFR's perfect window is early (i.e., the frame the arrow aligns with the targets and the two frames before it grant perfects)

                                      Well I don't suggest you concentrate too hard to AAA. Play harder song, even if you fail. You may learn at a faster pace and then AAAing an easier song may suddenly become a piece of cake. Don't worry about perfection, even though that's basically what a AAA is.

                                          I can't even AAA anything over level 3 without getting lucky and yet I have SDG'd a couple of level 9 songs and nearly FC'd some FMO's with a pretty decent PA.

                                          Don't let AAA'ing weigh you down. I mostly care about being able to clean FC or almost do that. Once I do that, I'm satisfied.

                                          Problem isn't Vista. I have it and I have yet to have any issues. I can still AAA a few songs like I used to and my PA didn't change when I got it.

                                          You could also just have bad luck. I'm bad at AAA'ing songs because I constantly keep getting at least 1 Good. I end up focusing too much or too little. Try AAA'ing songs when you start to get better and have played more?

                                                      Vista is not the issue, dont let the douchebag vista haters tell you that. Ive been using vista for a year or more and all my scores and AAA's, even FMO AAA's came from Vista, it is not Vista.

                                                      I would think it could be your keyboard, running too many programs while playing causing lag, or your computer is just filled up with so much stuff, it struggles running with low memory.

                                                          Huh, if you don't have any lag with Vista you're just lucky seriously.
                                                          Don't get me wrong, Vista is epic win for many things but it definitely got some issues with flash and apparently your machine don't have them.

                                                          I went from 80 goods on some 10s to AAAing the same song only by changing my OS..

                                                          Everything matters, that's usually what makes the difference at the start.
                                                          Rhythm games are all a matter of adjusting. If you get poor scores it's not always because of skills.
                                                          Unless you can't full combo..
