Vista comp wont detect dance pad

    Hey everyone,

I just got a dance pad from ddr game : http://www.ddrgame.com/dance-dance-r...master-ns.html . Its just a cheap foam one that should connect to the pc. Problem is that when i plug it into my comp and my brothers (both on vista), it doesn't detect the pad at all. It doesn't even register that an unknown device has attached, nothing happens. Has anyone had this problem or know how to solve it? Help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
Edit: Just tried it on xp and got no response from the computer or the pad.

post-dumps abstractly represent the existential nihilism that the song invokes in the listener with negative space, evoking the ephemeral nature of the mind - the journey of stepmania begins in hope yet soon becomes corroded into a dialectic of futility, leaving only a sense of dread and the unlikelihood of a new synthesis

Apparently. Its my first pad so im pretty angry that i doesn't work. It doesn't make any noise when i plug it into the computer. And it doesn't show up under game controllers in the control panel .

I'm gonna take a safe guess and say that you got screwed over, that's the site that sold (maybe still sells) stepmania CDs with files for money without any permission whatsoever from the musicians and stepmania duders.

If that's not a metal pad, you got ripped off, that's expensive for a soft pad.

I called them up and there sending me another one. I just wanted to try and get this one working as well.
Edit: all the metal pads i was looking at were gonna cost >300 with shipping to canada. I dont have a credit card so the site has to accept paypal.

This company ships their pads from Quebec. I've bought a pair of metal pads from there and although aren't of best quality, work great. Also what you're going to want to do when you get the pads is go to

Control Panel --> Controllers and test them out there.

I wish i saw this pad before Also the pad i got doesn't show up in controllers. I might buy that metal one now....i hate wasting money, and hate brokerage. I thought the pad was going to be super cheap, but brokerage charged me 40 bucks
