    Question: Computer alternative to turntables?

I'm pretty ignorant when it comes to mixing music, but I've wanted to try it. Thing is, I don't have enough money for turntables (yet).

I wanted to try some sort of computer software that would let me mix music in realtime, to see if I have a knack for it. If it turns out that I do, I might get turntables (and make some sets and release them or something haha).

Know of any programs? (looking at shox/ipatch maybe)

I think something like Deckadance is what you're looking for.

Yeah, that's pretty much EXACTLY what I was thinking of. Thanks a ton :]

Deckadance is terrible. I'd say you go for Virtual DJ or Traktor. You get clicks and pops with Deckadance. I didn't EVER experience that with Virtual DJ or Traktor.

Ya Traktor is really good, they have a free mini version called beatport sync, but nothing beats turntables. Hell even I can kinda throwdown with turntables.

Everyone thinks they can throwdown on turntables, just like everyone thinks they can sing haha

But yeah. I'd recommend Traktor o play around with, and then when you get tables, you can get Traktor Pro and use it professionally...

Otherwise I 2nd the Virtual DJ program to play around with for ****s 'n giggles.
