I want to organize a world tournament of stepmania.
I think FFR is the better place to organize a tournament like that.
DATE OF THE TOURNAMENT
The tournament will begin..... I think 22 and 23 august will be good days.
I want to make the tournament on weekend.
SATURDAY: pool matches
SUNDAY: bracket matches
If you are not here the days of the tournament, you will be disqualified.
RULES
the tournament will be divided in 2 parts:
POOLS
Each pool have 4 players, and each players on the same pool have to fight on a match.
2 players will be qualified for the brackets on each pool.
Your classification will be used to make your position on the brackets.
If your are first of your pool, you will fight a player who have finished 2nd.
BRACKETS
A system of double elimination.
You do matches until you loose 2 matches.
When a player loose his first match, he goes to the loosers part where there are other players who have lost 1 match.
If the player loose another match, he is disqualified.
More you will win matches, better you will be classified and harder the last matches will be.
There is 3 finals:
_Winner finals: with the 2 remaining players who have never lost a match
_looser finals: with the looser of the winner finals and the last remaining player of loosers part.
_finals: the 2 last players on competition.
MATCH
The matches are all played on SMO (stepmania online) on smonline.us server.
Search tutorials if you don't know how to play at SMO.
Each player will play at rate 1.0, judge and life difficulty at 4 (defaults options).
All mods are not allowed, only speedmods (Xmod and Cmod) are allowed.
Players have to verify their options before each game.
when the simfile is started, it's too late.
All noteskins can be used.
Play on "fail off" to see the score at the end. It's the score who determinate the winner of a game.
To win a match, you have to win 2, 3, 4 or 5 games.
In a game, the one who has the best score win.
The first simfile will be a random one or a simfile choosen by the 2 players.
Others simfiles will be chosen on counterpick: the looser of the last game choose a simfile.
BEST OF 3: (All pool matches)
The first player who win 2 games, win the match.
BEST OF 5:
The first player who win 3 games, win the match.
BEST OF 7:
The first player who win 4 games, win the match.
BEST OF 9:
The first player who win 5 games, win the match.
The tournament will begin at 14:00 (GMT +0), one match will be done each hour.
So American and European players could play easily. More hard for Asian.
So when you have done your match, immediately say your score on the topic who will be created for this occasion.
Organizers could more easily say to you the next match.
On saturday, the matches will end approx at 16:30 (GMT +0)
The Sunday will be a marathon day who will end approx at 21:00 (GMT +0)
When you know with what person you have to fight the next match, make a room with your nickname and your opponent's one.

You can only play games with simfiles who are on these packs.
I think for the big finals, there will be specific hard simfiles.
You have to have ALL these packs, if not, you will be disqualified.
Download them 1 week before the tournament.
You cannot play forbidden simfiles on the tournament.
You have to play on the hardest difficulty of the simfile (generally oni) but EDIT difficulty is forbidden.
If you are interested for playing on this tournament just say it, and i'll add you on the list.
The tournament is limited to 128 players.
Why 128?
Because it's really really hard to organize a tournament of 128 players, and more will be too hard for me.
I need too 3 other Organizers (they can play too).
