Yeah, that bass pattern is pretty standard in trance.. my basses are usually pretty ****ty though, I don't know where trance producers get their samples from, so maybe it's just a production issue on my end.
This is an example of someone using it a lot better than I do:
The ending was kind of an afterthought, but yeah I agree, it's pretty abrupt.

Like I said my basses aren't all that great, and I don't have much of a clue of how to master them into my tracks. I just hope it's not too distracting.

Maybe try it up an octave?
Or do a slight dip around 50 Hz or so for starters, move it around to see if you can get it less boomy. Do you have a sub?Comment
