Here's a list of currently supported gametypes:
dance - DDR and other four panel dancing games
pump - Pump it Up
ez2 [3.9] - Ez2Dancer
para [3.9] - ParaParaParadise
ds3ddx [3.9] - DS 3D DX
beat [3.9] [4.0] - beatmania (and IIDX)
maniax [3.9] - Dance ManiaX
techno [3.9] - Technomotion
popn [3.9] - pop'n music
In addition, there are more gametypes being worked on for StepMania 4 such as guitar (Guitar Hero/Guitar Freaks/SM4CVS has a gametype called guitar 5) Drums (Drummania), karaoke, and KB7 (The game types will be featured in SM4 SVN, But the default theme is the only thing thats getting in the way, everything else is stable but the default theme)
