I was wondering, In some thread when it says u need to edit every song so they have 2 sec+ of silence at the beginning, does that still apply to new submissions? Whats the shortest and cheapest way to do it? Am i even in the right forum? >.>

Re: Question about simfiles
You will want to add a 2 second silence to the beginning of the song if your stepfile has arrows somewhere in the first two seconds of the song. Otherwise, those arrows will get cut off.
Audacity is probably the easiest way to add the silence.
You can get it here (for free):
Download Audacity for free. A free multi-track audio editor and recorder. Audacity is a free, easy-to-use, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux and other operating systems. Audacity is free software, developed by a group of volunteers and distributed under the GNU General Public License (GPL). -
Re: Question about simfiles
to clarify:
If you have arrows in the first 2 seconds of your chart for FFR, those arrows will be cut off.
If you do not want that to happen, you have 2 choices:
1. Do not put any arrows in the first 2 seconds.
2. Edit the mp3 to add 2 seconds of silence at the beginning of the song, then have the song start normally.
If you want to do 2, use audacity as stated above. Just make sure to adjust your gap accordingly in the file.RIPComment
