To DNB or not to DNB

    Not to DnB!

Hey guys, Dr Attitude here, just figured I'd share my new tunes with you guys.

Again, open to critique, but really I'm just sharing them with the community.

My first tune is In Due Time http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/206003

It's an entirely orchestral arrangement, in fact there is only one instrument that isn't sampled or directly from an instrument played by a real person.

Second is a.. darkstep-psuedo hiphop beat idm breakcore...tune... Maybe I'll just call it industrial, but here goes.

    http://www.newgrounds.com/audio/listen/206009

It is quintessentially the opposite of the prior tune.

I second KgZ. It seemed to me that the percussion synths were doing their own thing, and the main synths were a bit weak as well. However, your second song is pretty good.

Not bad, just needs some modifications and tweaking. Just take your time, rushing is a no-no in music.

Hm. I wasn't as impressed with your stuff this time around to be honest.

As KgZ and AirWave said, In Due Time felt kind of...off. Things just didn't mesh very well, and the drum beat was kind of awkward and forced, imo. 5/10

The second song, Destruction by Proxy was much better. The beginning of this song kind of reminded me of nubbin, but it quickly changed and evolved into what I've recognized as your style. I was really digging this song by ~1:45 when the additional synths come into the background. Loved that. Good, solid DnB. 8/10

The last thread I think you made was for Insight, which absolutely blew my mind, so I guess I'm expecting more of that caliber music from you from now on? lol. No pressure, but I really thought you pushed the limits with Insight and put out an incredible tune.

Thanks for checking them out. Don't really have much to say in response of the critique.

I think I'll rework in due time, overwhelming responses of it not seeming to 'flow'. I guess I should close listen to the composition and drums and re-do the bastard.

Don't worry, you're always going to have have your songs critisized, it's normal. Our critiques are only to help, not to hurt.

I am aware, and I felt the criticism was definitely valid.
