    Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games

    Anyone have this game for the Wii?

    Sure, the concept is corny, but as with most Wii games, it's great for parties and other times when you're not looking for any really serious competition. The basic premise is that sixteen iconic Nintendo and Sega video game characters somehow make it to the '08 Summer Games and compete in a variety of events.

    So far, I'm finding this game to be quite fun. While I can't say I rock the skill-based events yet (table tennis and gymnastics, for example), the track and swimming events are more my thing. It's especially fun because I have a little brother 10 years my junior that's unlocked more stuff than I have (you should have seen us go at the 400m record yesterday...it was an insane environment).

    Thoughts? Comments? Brags? Let's hear 'em.

          I've played this game to hell and back with my friends. I love it.

          My best event is javelin hands down. Threw a spear 117m. None of my friends have ever come close to that record.

          Table Tennis may be my most favorite of the events, but it's far too easy. I like the field events more so than the running and swimming events also. I suck balls at the swimming stuff.

          Good game though. I'd recommend it to anyone with a Wii.

              God damn it, Foil...I just got 109.354 today with Sonic.

              Field is generally not my strong suit.

              Edit: Aforementioned little brother seems to have made off with the nunchuck extension, so I had to go and do hammer throw just now. On the plus side, broke 89 meters.

                  Rezzed from 2nd page because of the occurrence of pure win.

                  Turns out you can do something while the hammer is in mid-flight to get a couple extra meters out of it. I just did it now and got 91.615m.

                      I don't like the hammer throw I'll tell you that much and Pole vaulting is brutal on the arms!! Family kept breaking each others records passed the max 2 xmas's ago while we also keep up on the 80+ Javelin marks... We're really competitive when we play it. Fencing at later stages is difficult. Archery is challenging and Skeet is my favorite and not because of the name...

                          i personly like the game, putting two well knownuniverses we all know and love (for the most part) was pretty epic, but now im waiting for the new one coming out
