    Just my luck..

    Yeah, probably in the wrong place, but here's what happened..

    I decided, a bit ago, that I was going to completely remix a song from 'Embodiment of Scarlet Devil', after seeing the simfile 'UNknown girl' on FFR.
    So, I went about creating my own little mp3, and and all that good stuff.
    The idea was that I was going to actually -share- an audio file I'd made for the first time (Been a 'Keep to myself' type hobby for a few years now), and in the process, put one of my simfiles out there. I was going to upload it here, as well.

    I was actually in the process of -making- a simfile for it at one point.. It took me about 8 hours, and I still wasn't even close to happy with the steps.. So I put it on hold for a bit.

    So, I decide to play a bit of FFR today. I'm just going through stuff I haven't tried out yet, and I finally notice it.. The song I have worked so hard on has already been done and simfiled.

    Now I feel like an idiot for not knowing that not only did a simfile already exist for it, but it was actually on FFR. I should do more research.

    Anything like this ever happen to anyone else?

      You can still step that for the simfile databases, lots of people download synced files from there onto stepmania.

          Well, thanks, but I'm not awesome. I get the feeling that was sarcasm.

          And my rank makes me look even worse. I don't focus on rank, or lots of AAAs (Like the low Diff ones), just FCing harder stuff that's just out of my grasp...

          Necropotence, for example. I get, like, a 600+ combo, then screw it up, then high combo again, etc. There aren't even any particular parts where I screw it up. I just fail overall.

          I really don't know how I never noticed it.. I guess I am kinda particular about what I play, though. I just tend to focus on stuff that either -looks- like a challenge, or songs that people have urged me to play.

          I feel like an idiot, though, so bad. I put so many hours into that project. I might still finish it, and release it, but now the drive's kinda gone. lol.


          Ha, GG, you deleted your post. Now that whole 'skill' thing I said makes no sense. Woot.
