i havent seen it. I did some research quarantine came out and i stumbled across previews for it.

it looks really good. i might watch it right now actually. XD

Yeah I have watched it;
+Shakycam done in good fashion.
+Not the usual kind of ending and I appreciate it.
+Spanish people have this natural drive, so it added realism in a good way.
+The plot was revealed proggressively.
+No super bling bling effects, added to realism in a good way.
+Climax theory.

some pros I wanted to share, not going to spoil anything, but maybe some of those hint about some things

Enjoyable movie in its genre definetly.

My brother watched it and says it's really good. I am not a fan of horror movies because I'm a pansy. He will probably force me to watch it one of these days anyway, since that's what he usually does. He did make me watch the trailer for it and I do admit that it does look pretty good.

I love this movie! I have not seen the American remake though. Was that one any good?

According to Amazon it has English and Spanish subtitles.

I've heard about it, an excellent horror movie =)
The hand-cam is pretty effective.
I need to take it at my videoclub.

It IS really good. i love this movie.
but it hasnt been released on DVD in the US yet cause the company who bought the rights (Sony i think) wont release it. and it prob wont be released till Quarantine comes out. which is really stuid anyway. they didnt even release it in theaters over here. they just quickly made a remake in english because americans are too lazy to read subtitles

theyre doing that with Let The Right One In too even though that one is in a few theaters right now.

Anyway REC is very good and i highly suggest everyone watches it

I'm still not completely buying their attempt at explaining the virus when the reporter and the cameraman enter the attic and look around the room (very minor spoiler), but I really enjoyed the claustrophobia of being stuck inside a small apartment building. Very scary and entertaining, and nice ending as well. I haven't seen Quarantine, but from the trailers it looks pretty much like the same thing in English. One scene in the trailer looks exactly the same.

I'd see it!
It's supposed to take place hours after the first film left off. I hope it explains more about the virus and all that crazy stuff that went down in the final scene.
Oh, and magicalinternet, sadly I think it sucked compared to the original. I can't say that exactley because I myself havent seen it, but my friend did and he told me all about it. He saw REC and Quarantine "was really too hollywood-ish". I'm not sure what that's supposed to mean but it dosen't sound good.
