    Gay/Straight Alliance....

    At my school, they have this random announcements powerpoint that they play during study hall, and today guess what one of the slides was??

    You would never believe it said "Gay/Straight Alliance"! It said they have meeting every week. I wonder what the hell those meetings are. I CANNOT wait to go the their next meeting, I am thrilled that I found this out! I mean, what's so wrong about being gay, some people (like me) just can't help it. We deserve the right to express our sexuality, don't you all agree?

                                                      I'm not sure if they're allowed to go there, Foilman...there's probably a teacher who organized the whole thing, and as such they're responsible for making sure things don't get out of hand. Not to mention there's probably a policy along the lines of "whatever happens here stays here." (I was on a bus ride like that once. Our school was in the playoffs in two different sports, and the soccer state finals and a football game happened to be on the same day. I'll just leave it that I did things that would have probably gotten me in deep trouble under most sets of circumstances.)

                                                      Though I do suspect there might be a lot of giggling and whatnot among first-timers. "OMG, I would have never suspected you were gay! You're, like, on the football team and you're GAY?!!" You know, stuff like that.

                                                      Footbull, don't go if all you come to do is make fun of everyone else; instead, try taking it seriously and talk about the issues and prejudices someone of your sexual orientation might face once you graduate and attempt to strike out into the wider world. Don't be as much of a n00b in there as you might be perceived as on these forums.
