    Removing background from images

I am finding this too hard, I googled and found some companies that do this sort of thing, has anyone tried them? Is clipping path the same as deepetching. www.deepetch.com seems to be one good one, I also saw http://www.rapidclipping.com/Photosh...pping/home.htm and www.ezyclipping.com. Has anyone had any experience with this sort of thing. My catalog has over 300 images of jewelery and jackets with fur fitted on manequins due in two weeks, all shot on a blue studio background. Do I require alpha channel masking? Can anyone help please?

Here's a guide I found from the phase forums (originally from planetrenders) that should make it easy to explain how it's done. It's a picture tutorial.

I use the magic wand tool and the eraser.

Perhaps not the cleanest or ideal way, but it works for me.

Hello sir, I am a representative from eBay.
Um, ok. May I help you?
Yes, I am going to need some more information. What is your social security, work hours, sperm count, sexual orientation, and hours of absence from your home?

That works fine for quick-and-dirty renders, especially on white backgrounds if you don't want to take the time to make it super-specific. On any background with constantly changing colors, though, it doesn't work so well, since the eraser has a certain amount of anti-aliasing no matter what hardness it's set to. I'm decent at rendering, but I need work on it, since I could be doing much more amazing things with it.
