    New Generation

I'm actually using a few music theory principles in my music, it's really starting to help.

The breakdown isn't entirely finished. I need to work on getting the parts to blend together better, but I'd like some feedback first.

My programs consist of FL8, and the synths I used for this were... z3ta+, Zebra, Atmosphere and Nexus.

The music theory principles I used mostly consisted of basic part writing that I've learned since the beginning of the school year. Simple stuff, mostly triads and basic chord progressions, though I somewhat ignored the progression part and favored my time-tested method of doing whatever sounds good. I'm also trying to use what I know about major/minor chords, since before I accidentally wrote almost all of my music in the relative minor of whatever key I used without even realizing it.

Nothing drastic, but even the little bit helps. Thanks for the comment.

Yeah, we learned a few basic chord progressions. Most of them were based off of classical church hymns, so I didn't pay much attention to what I learned.

I realized I tend to rely mostly on P4 and P5 intervals, though not in any specific order. As long as the music sounds good I really don't care what "rules" I'm breaking as far as theory is concerned.
