    If you own a car please answer me this question

    hello all of the Flash Flash Revolution members i was wondering if you have a car and in winter you would put your windshield wipers up if any of you have an answer please let me know.

      No, You keep them down, and simply let the snow fall down onto it. If you leave them up they will freeze lock in that position and you may not be able to drive. But if they are down, the engine will heat them up and they will always work like normal. Just be careful when you dust your car off.

          I find that if you Rain-x your windshield you dont get freezing rain stuck to it. You can only apply it above 50 degrees though.

              I always put them up when I know it's going to snow and I will scrape the windshield. Leaving them down just risks the heat from the car melting the snow and it refreezing thus icing the rubber blade of the wiper to the windshield. This can damage the wiper when you try to yank them up to scrape.

                  Yeah, put them up or otherwise after driving it the snow will melt and freeze your blades to the windshield.

                          I always leave them down. When it snows or frosts or freezes, I run the defrost full blast for about 15 minutes. During that time I scrape off the rest of my windshield and windows. When I'm done, I check if my wipers are free or not. I just use some light pressure to see if they'll move at all and i f they don't, I leave them be.

                          P.S. Lock De-Icer is my best friend during winter. I just don't know how to unfreeze my door handle quickly and without the use of hot water.
