A Few of My Large-Canvass Pieces

about a month ago, I got into large-canvass work. It's as fun as it is hard to make a really good looking design especially when you have more room to fill with effects and whatnot.

Breath of Life - It took me a total of about four hours. The effects in it were actually the easy part. What took me so long was fixing up the stock I used (Which, sadly, I don't have anymore). It wasn't originally blurred, or even as dark. I added a lot of shadows and colors and even blurs to establish a focal point and make it look more realistic.

Free as a Bird - This one was also very fun to make. Originally, it wasn't going to be all vector, but I'm sure you all know how much we can stray from our original plans. I'm so glad I have ADD, or it wouldn't have come out like this. This was my first ever fully vector pieces. Vectoring the people took me about three hours. >.<

Wall-e - I'm not sure if you would consider this a large-canvass piece, but I do. I made this shortly after seeing the movie with my younger brothers.

The Exhausted Soldier - This was proably my most serious large piece. I made it to honor the troops that have been giving their lives in an unknown land to protect the people that they care about. It was originally a low quality picture with no focal, but I tried as hard as I could to make the scene very dramatic and almost tragic.

GeekMaster6000 - The last, but certainly not least LP.. I made it for me. You know, as a desktop background. I'm currently using it as my myspace background, too. I'm a geek, and I'm willing to accept it. I think that this is my best large canvass work ever (Besides Breath of Life)

    Constructive criticism would be apreciated.

I love the Free as a Bird one. Very indie. I also like the soldier one.

EDIT: I almost wanna make Free as a Bird my avi, but I love Nagano so much. I'll make it my g-mail pic.

something tells me you like square canvas

i love the breath of life but the blur of light stream doesnt seem to be in exact consistancy with the blur of the environment but its not that big of a deal lol, i probably wouldnt care either if i was working on it >.>'
I would try thin canvas on the freebird, either up n down or horizontal.
Reminder for self to make new sig.

Thanks for the comments, guys. It all goes into consideration. I've been thinking of re-doing a lot of them since I still have most of my PSD's.

The first one is decent, the rest are just BLARGH. They dont seem to have much effects done, and dont look that appealing to my eyes.

The whole black background+c4d phase is long gone, nobody likes it anymore. The good thing about that last piece of yours is the color scheme. I like how you used the color of the c4d for the text as well

            keep practicing

Oh, I like it when I actually make the C4D. Well, thanks for the comment. I'll keep trying.

Are these really paintings? If they are you have a new fan to buy your work after you die

I thought large canvases were suppose to be a lot bigger, like usually bigger than the computer screen. If there isn't a certain size or bigger, then ignore that. I like those images very much though. I like the first one the best.

Your first piece is really nice. I really like your use of focal points.
