    Is there any way to turn off the sound?

      If you mean turn off the sound from FFR (which you probably do), then no, as far as I know.

                                      yes there is ( OHGOD i feel special) .. download IndieVolume.. you can control any of your application sound..including Firefox... THANKS GIBSON63!!
