Yep, my cat named Ghosty. He's 15 years old as of Haloween this year. We found him in this green thing we used to keep hay in for our dog. Ever since then he's been chillin' here with us. He's not been acting good since around a week ago. He hasn't been eating or moving a lot, just sleeping. Mom took him to the vet today and found out his kidneys are failing, so they are going to put him to sleep tomorrow or friday while I'm at school. :'( It made me sad and I was just laying there with him and said goodbye and stuff and just left him laying there. Well there it is, sorry I had to get that somewhere else out of my head for a while.

That's horrible to hear about.
I was really sad when my cat had be be put down because her back leg got caught in a trap. I didn't want another cat for the longest time.

I had to deal with putting down 3 of my cats. They were the best cats I could have. I feel your pain. Sorry you have to go through with this. It isn't a feeling that should be felt. All 3 died from a disease, too which made it worse to watch them suffer before we put them down. I just wish I don't have to feel the same way again and the same for you.Comment

At least your mom told you Ghosty would have to be put down. I had a dog who I loved more than anything in the world named CJ, who was old and unwell, and my parents were such douchebags they didn't even tell me they were putting her down. I just came home one day expecting to see my beloved CJ and she wasn't there.

I had a dog for almost my entire life, and a year ago he started getting sick. Then a little while later his legs kept shaking and he couldn't sit or lay down for more than 5 minutes without getting up from the pain, and I remember him walking into walls. It turns out his kidneys were failing, so he was put down that day.

I wish I could do something for you because my dog has been a part of my life for 6 years already. I've grown attached to her. Yet, I can't imagine what you're going through because you've been with your cat for 15 years. Aww, that's so horrible. I'm am really sorry to hear about that. I know how painful it feels...though I've never lost one of my own pets, I have been close to my grandparent's dogs because I spent time with the often.

i had a dog named roxy, she was 17 when we had to put her down. she was so energetic until the last 2 months when her stomach starting getting huge. took her to the doctors and they said she had cancer and they could drain the fluids but it would fill back up in less than a week so we decided it was the best to keep her out of the pain. she couldnt sleep without discomfort. its for the betterComment

living up to 17 is pretty good for a dog; as far as i know most don't get past 15. my dog has a liver condition that's probably going to prevent him from living very far past 10 years old. he's 5 right now. i have no idea how i'm gonna react..Comment

im sorry dude, thats horrible. when i was 8 my dog was murdered and my mom still hasnt gotten over it completely. just remember the good times you had with him.

Aww bless, I love my cat, she's 9 and I'm hating the day she'll die and stuff.
I have a 6 month old kitten thats pisses me off [ probaly because It's not aloud to really touch me yet and it KEEPS trying] and will never compare to my old cat =[.
