Just played it twice and first time did really bad. I can do lvl 5 FFR and was missing steps left and right because I sync my listening with the beat. It seemed that each arrow was half a step(music term) off. It expected the key stroke 1/10 a second later. Didn't look as if this was intended.

if you kow exactly what the problem is then why dont you just correct yourself so that you hit them when their there....
