If you don't know John Young, he is part of BMG HeritageRecords (a sub division of Sony Records). He has been with Asia, The Scorpions, Fish, John Wetton, Greenslade, Bonnie Tyler, and others.
Anyway, one thing led to another and we got to sending emails. I asked permission for some of his songs. His reply:
I've already explained we won't pay royalties but he's said that if Kings goes down well then he can try to get his contacts to even offer up a song or two for us to step. This could include speaking to management and quite possibly the bands listed above. So get to stepping:
Even if you think this song isn't the best to step do it anyway. Seriously. Think of the possibilities if you make a good file out of this.

hi david
I'm happy to try Kings out with you and see how we go from there. If the
feedback is good and we get a lot of hits then I can look at things a
little further down the line with regards
to other music being used. As for my cohorts (I'm actually meeting with
the Scorps tonight) everything would have to be done through the artist
or the management and as such most of
them would require a payment for any useage. That said if the hits are
high over the next months on Kings then i can always recommend FFR to
various artists.
hope that makes sense
best regards
john
