    Can someone do me a favor?

    Can someone upload their steam folder so I can copy it in? The installer refuses to work, so I want to see if I can hard copy the steam folder.

    The file unzipped should be about 70mb, please remember not to include your games.

              I had that same problem with Steam a while back. I ended up getting my friend to do what you're asking now. It worked. I'd do it, but I just recently quit being an avid Steam fanboy.
