    MOTHER (Earthbound) MegaMix discussion

    I don't know if this is the right area to post this, so if not, please move it.

    Alright, I've had this recent obsession with the MOTHER/Earthbound series. Basically, I have a bunch of Earthbound dedicated soundtracks on my computer. One album, in particular, is Oto No Ishi. See, the first 11 songs roll into each other and create this Happy Hardcore Megamix.
    I have taken the liberty of combining those tracks, and it comes out to being a whopping 1:00:53.

    Now, it may just be me, but I think it would make a fairly epic simfile if it were ever to be stepped.

    So, the discussion is this:
    Do you think anyone would be willing to play it?
    Would there be anyone interested on working on it?
    Was this simply a stupid idea? :c

    Oh, this would be purely for Stepmania beings that 1. I don't have blanket permission from the artists, and 2. C'mon, it's over an hour long. No way in hell FFR would accept that long of a file.

      Yes =/

      Step a single part, that'd be fine. Or step multiple parts in separate files, but don't step something an hour long. I guarantee you won't have the will to finish, and even if you do, nobody will play it.

              i was stepping an hour long song before. i stopped after 5 minutes because i knew i would never finish it

              but if you really think you'd be up to it by all means go for it since im pretty sure someone will play it. i know i would(not too sure about downloading it though >.>)

                  Well okay, here's why I was asking if there would be anyone participating in it.
                  See, I KNOW for a fact that I would not finish it myself. That is just too long of a file to keep anyone's sanity.
                  But what I was thinking about doing is a giant collab. Such as, 1 stepartist takes this song, Another person, another song. And then you just combine their steps in the megamix. That way, you don't just get 1 style for a whole hour, there's variety every 3-7 minutes.

                  (I probably shoulda mentioned that in the first post, huh? :/ )

                          This would be better if each part was stepped separately and then a pack made of those files. Even then probably few people would help/dl/play.

                              honestly it's a pretty lame idea for simfiling (would be ok for just listening).

                                  I remember unlocking Ness back in the old day on Super Smash Bros. N64 :'D
                                  When I heard this song on SSBM, I loved it. It's one of those songs that makes me cry inside like Clannad's OP. It just seems too slow to step.

                                  LOL... as I was typing this and listening to it my mom said it sounded like the opening to a 70's show and I cracked up.

                                  EDIT: but who knows, it may serve as a good easy song on FFR. We need more of those after songs like Death Piano came out...
