    maybe i'm stepping on the line... religion?

    well as long as we keep things civil we should be okay. i wanna know, how many here are theists and how many are atheists, a debate attacking the points are okay, a personal attack is not.
    2 weeks:
    ------------
    -Offensive remarks about race, religion, sex, nationality, sexual orientation, etc.
    -Minimum punishment for ban evasion.
    -Heavy flaming.
    -Scant pornography. "I can see a hint of a nipple" or "crudely-drawn breasts/genitals" images.
    so be warn.

    well for me personally, i'm an atheist (believe that there is no god). i would like to see some positive proof for god since the burden of proof lies with you theists out there. it is not the atheists' job to disprove god, as you can't prove a negative (ie. disprove the spaghetti monster).

    One of the most solid scientific theory (evolution) is in total contradiction to creation, so are others. jesus was never first meant to have physically risen from the dead (i can elaborate on this if you wish). noah's ark is physically impossible in every level, and young-earth creationism is in total contradiction with almost every scientific and geologic facts we know.

    that should start things up.

      i see both sides of the story, and i really don't know which way to go.
      i'm kind-of waiting for some proof of god...but i'm not an atheist.

          I don't know, explain what the reason was for even bothering to waste my life reading this? In a way, you don't know, you can be any religion, go with any beliefs. I believe this should be in Critical Thinking, but otherwise, this was pretty pointless to post except for +1 post count.

          I do however understand if your coming from a point of view that is being attacked for being "Atheist". Although their is nothing wrong with it, I cannot say I am any different, because the difference with me is, I don't need to go to church to believe in god. You got to believe that if god showed to many signs of "proof" like miracles, wouldn't you think that people would rely on him? Then the economy would be ruined. Most of us have probably sinned anyway, and are awaiting either an underground hell, or we will rot in the ground. But that is saved for the future, myself, I think there is an afterlife, and I will die and come back as a squirrel.

          Like I said though, waiting for proof of god, just roll with the flow of life, and live it to the fullest. Live it like tomorrow was your last day. :]

              nuh uh. religion threads, especially outside of CT, are a big no-no from Me...

              history has shown that there is no good that can come from any religion based thread.
