    Sounds good so far.

as far as the drums go, You're going to either want to replace that kick or layer it with something a bit punchier. and maybe add a tiny bit of distortion to your snare. Every 4th beat you should add somewhat of a mini fill, that will add dynamics to your drums and give the impression that they are changing. The filter sweep was well placed. But the kick definitely needs to stand out a bit more. It needs that punch.

Sound's great, but the kick is a little lame, so remake that or make it come at you. I think the snare is good how it is. And like nubbin said, something in between to make the progression more noticeable.

I'd like to see the finished product.

I like the idea that you use string sessions rather using a reed sound.. sounds really promising to start with. I have to agree with nubbin on this. The bass is a little bit soft. Either way, layering is one option, using a compression is another method to make the bassdrum a bit more punchier (threshold half way, little bit attack (not to much) and the release should be somewhere high). At least thats the way I prefer it.

With the snare, same thing as nubbin: use a scream 4 unit. Distortion might give some punch back, another option would be using a Tape Scream 4 setting. Since it also comes with a compressor method (but puts just a little bit dust on the snare)

I don't know if this would be another way to setup the main lead though (be my guest and see if you like it): In the string session, add an additional MClass Equalizer. Check Param 1 en set the frequencies on the low tones on the string session (around 150Hz). Reduce a little bit gain, so it won't get in the way of the bass tones.

In addition: add a high shelf (4th parameter of the mclass equalizer). Park the high shelf around 7Khz abit, and adjust the gain aprox 1 till 2db. The higher notes are not being touched much, but this might just get the lead to distinct itself from the rest of the drum track

These are just my thought here. I don't know if the EQ bit might help though, this is just something you have to test with, and see if you notice the changes. And if you don't like it, you could always remove the equalizer again
