    Warhammer 40,000 Dawn of War

    Warhammer. Games Workshop and Relic made this great RTS game. Time setting is 40,000. The entire universe is at war with each other. The Space Marines, Imperial Guard, Eldar, Orks, Chaos, Necrons, Sisters of Battle, Dark Eldar, Tau, and Tyranids are all slaughtering one another. Death is the only peace within this universe. The humans, (Imperials and Marines) have the God-Emperor as their faith. Strong in faith, strong in will, they fight back the Heretics, Mutants, and Unclean.

    My personal favorite race is the Orks. Just the thought of an Orc with a British accent, a cleaver, and an automatic pistol makes me laugh, and at the same time be amazed at what the Orks can do. Barbarous, hilarious, comical relief in this Universe.

    Space Marines come in second, their looks, faith, and tactics amaze me.

    So, that's what this is. What's ya'll opinions, for those who have played it?

      Space Marines ftw.

      I played the table top game for a long time before this was even thought of.. I signed up for the beta but I haven't been invited yet.

      I heard they released the ship date?

          Dawn of War 2 is scheduled to be released Spring 2009. Early Spring. Meet you on the battlefield, Brother. Emperor be with you.

              I've played this before at the workshop, it seemes like fun when I tried it, but then again it costs so much money, and its like ruining your social life at a point lol.

                      I used to play 40K tabletop but it was too much of a financial setback for me.

                      Why you talking about DoW and not WH Online?

                      I've played DoW once and I found it quite enjoyable but not the best.

                          I never really played DoW, I heard it was quite good though. My brother has it and it looks really cool. I wonder if it's like the same units and everything. That would be even cooler.



                          I played 40k tabletop and Fantasy, but it cost way to much money, and it's quite time consuming. Especially when you relaly start building your armies, it's also really hard to find people to play with. I first got into it while I was living in Europe, then when we moved back to the states, it was all down hill. No Games Workshop in FL, just a local hobby store. We had a league going for a while but it fell through a while back... shame.

                              Dawn of War is awesome. Warhammer ONLINE is fantasy. 40,000 is future. There are some of the same races, and alot of the gods in each one are the same. But the time setting and whats used are different

                              For instance, the Orks in 40,000 are just like the Greenskins in Warhammer Fantasy. Cept in 40,000 they got guns, tanks, and scrap vehicles. In Both games they got a a kick-ass attitude, an awesome style of fighting, and an awesome accent and hierarchy. Orks ftw!
