    No Pain

The door jamb would think quietly to itself,
Envious of the books high upon the shelf.

"Why do I sit here, constanty mopin'?"
To be curtly reminded when the door slammed open.

"A new take on the epic fantasy genre... Darkly comic, relatable characters... twisted storyline."

"Readers who prefer tension and romance, Maledictions: The Offering, delivers... As serious YA fiction, I’ll give it five stars out of five. As a novel? Four and a half." - Liz Ellor

    My new novel:

    Maledictions: The Offering.

    Now in Paperback!

These couplets just made my day. It's refreshing to read humor so indirectly stated within a poem.

I don't really know much about poetic devices or any of that suff, but I will say that I like it. It's a nice read.

Also why don't the good threads ever get bumped. The ****ty ones always flourish while the real gems are left in the dust.

The mottled books did envy the jamb,
even as the giant door did slam.

        Hoping someday to jiggle loose,
so at last they'd see some use.
