About 2 years ago, maybe 1.5, I was (still) pretty new to FFR. I had no idea who any of the players where, playing styles, moderators, current discussions (I was completely oblivious to the forums), etc.. I still played one handed and never once cared to look into the forums.
So, three other friends and I came up with this witty idea that hey, maybe if we all take one key on the keyboard we can 'do reli gewd nd pwn n00bz in MP.' We all figured out what key we would take and gathered around the keyboard as we entered multiplayer.
The first few songs went well and we all felt like we were pretty badass.. until maybe around the fifth/sixth song we entered another random match. We all decided that we would step up the game against this rank 22 (I believe) by picking the song Gradeus (remember, avmisses were still around). Right off the bat we assumed that we would win and my rank would skyrocket up. It only took a minute into the song when we realized that Mr. 22 had combo'd the beginning jacks with mere goods as we continuously got random misses throughout the song. In the end, Mr. 22 only got approx. 8 goods as me and my friends got around 60 - 20 - 10 - 2. Mr. 22 then said in the chat, "Wow. Wasn't expecting to do that good." My friends and I thought, "Heh, bull****!" as we immediately left the lobby.
We had never even believed that anyone would do that good. At first we decided upon Mr. 22 being a hacker. But something urged us that maybe he just might be that good. After browsing the forums and searching the top players for 10 minutes, we arrived back at our first conclusion.
After 2 years of always believing Mr. 22 being a hacker, I came across this in Tass' thread of random statistic information on FFR:
Alas, Mr. 22's username was Acetiraz.
Thanks, Shash, thanks...
