Epic: ~ Reflections of Summer ~

    Reflections of Summer

After about a month of hard work, putting many hours into this, I have finished my first epic.

This is a song that is supposed to represent my interpretation of a summer day, starting from dawn and ending around midnight. The full-circle ending represents how the cycle repeats itself. Clocking at just under 6 minutes, I incorporated a wide variety of the sounds that deal with the events throughout the season.

    Without further ado, enjoy!

P.S. This is for KgZ's music contest. If I get enough support for this I'm going to convert it to an mp3. O.O

EDIT: Since this is a midi file, you can see the notes as they are being played if you download Vanbasco's Karaoke Player from http://www.vanbasco.com/
I highly recommend it. And it's a very small program, so it won't take up any space at all.

This is great. It sounds like a piece straight out of an RPG. You should go ahead and remaster it as mp3 and then step it for FFR. I would love to play it. 10/10 And yes this is what summer sounds like

    Very impressed,

Parts of this remind of Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.
Not that it's exactly the same, just the style and rhythm make is similar to me.

I did enjoy it though, very nice.
      Good job ^.^
      yo, I wouldn't do it.

sounds almost midi-esque, but very cool.

seconded, the flute and sax(?) synth could be better but it's nice fits the summer theme well imo 9/10

                      Thanks for the comments guys.

Yes, this is a midi file, so the sounds are obviously midi-ish. I can't use other programs such as Reason very efficiently yet, so I can't create mp3's just yet. But I'm working on the convert for this one. Hopefully, and I emphasize hopefully, I can get the mp3 in time for KgZ's contest.

Also, since this is a midi file, you can see the notes as they are being played if you download Vanbasco's Karaoke Player from http://www.vanbasco.com/

MIDI sax and horns sound so ****ing bad they hurt my soul

The bird tweet is super pro.
                        The beat is really good.

Needs to be mastered! and not with like, MIDI -> mp3 hey I'm done.

Like, get a program that makes live sounding brass and saxes. Do it right.

At a camp I went to, this was demonstrated for us. It uses recordings of principle players of the London Philharmonic (I think, it was some London orchestra). It's a bit pricey but if you want better sound that would be an option.

10/10 This is awesome. It placed me in my imagination where I was in a park surrounded by everyone playing in the sun having fun and enjoying themselves with birds chirping and ants marching, then I was brought to the beach where people were swimming gleefully in the crystal clear water, after that I was brought to the end of a summer day during a beautiful sunset where everyone separated with smiles on their faces and went home to enjoy a nights sleep so they could start the next day.
