I just saw the trailer for this recently. I wanted to die a lot. Luckily, they named it properly. "Disaster Movie", although an "of a" in between would make it a lot better.

I die a little inside every time another spoof movie comes out.

Only parody movies worth watching are the Scary Movie saga.

Scary Movie 1 and 2 were the only good ones. Once Keenen Wayans stopped directing them, 3 and 4 were toned down to PG-13 and the jokes became retarded and were used over and over again.

All these "spoof" movies coming out make me sick

I'm going to watch it for one reason, and one reason only. To see if they put as much product placement as they did in the other movies after Scary Movie 4.
The Scary Movie series were the only spoof movies that were actually good. They were just stupid to make anything after Scary Movie 4. Those were epic, and then they failed with Date Movie, and failed EPICALLY with Epic Movie.
I mean, here was the breakdown:

Scary Movie series - normal trailers, as in just showing the movie, good movies
Date Movie - from 2 of the 6 writers of Scary Movie, bad movie
Epic Movie - from 2 of the 6 writers of Scary Movie, bad movie
Meet the Spartans - from 2 of the 6 writers of Scary Movie, bad movie
Superhero Movie - from 2 of the 6 writers of Scary Movie, in between movie
Disaster Movie - FROM THE GUYS WHO HAVE WATCHED WAY TOO MANY MOVIES, will be bad movie

The only of those that I would watch would be Scary Movie series and Superhero Movie. Anything else was just a fail. Seriously, 300 was EPIC. The Meet the FRIGGEN Spartans ruined it.

And, I have nothing else to say.

yes, yes, the original 2 'scary movies' were of a significantly higher caliber of comedy than their successors. you see, in their R-rated format, the films were able to make devilishly witty use of graphic, highly-exaggerated puking effects; and of course the ever-satirical having-sex-with-a-chick-with-a-bag-over-her-head gag simply never tires.

truly in the toned-down, more kid-friendly sequels, the degree of comedic genius present in the first two films is markedly underpresent.

I thought the first two Scary movies were entertaining. They didn't have great plots but they did what they implied...spoofed scary movies and made you laugh. They're not "i'll watch it again" kind of movies but they're good to watch once if you want to laugh. Scary movie 3 honestly wasn't that bad and after getting bumped down to PG-13 it should've stopped there. Scary movie 4 was awful and every spinoff movie was bad. There may have been one little clip in the trailer that I would chuckle at for these movies (and I emphasize chuckle, not laugh) but Disaster movie made no sense, doesn't look like it has any plot, and judging from the trailer has no main spoof movie and is a bunch of disconnected skits that, as was said in the video in the first post, make references only, not spoofs.

Oh and that black midget with the attitude in all these is not funny and should stop making movies. Hell he's not funny in any movie he does I guess people just buy into it because "OMG sassy black midget funny LOL".

one of the big reasons i really dont care for the newer movies is what someone said a few posts ago. I enjoy R rated jokes, but when they changed the audience to kids, all the jokes were the same and not funny to me.

Like the joke were someone does something and gets hit. THEN DOES IT AGAIN AND GETS HIT AGAIN.

That joke was funny in the first two movies, but now they do it in EVERY DAMN MOVIE!

And also what that ranting guy said, Disaster Movie is referencing movies that weren't even out yet or in theaters playing. wtf.

i think we should get an FFR clan together and meet these directors and beat the living piss out of them
