    Email notifications coming online for profiles

    Guys, its been lurking in the code basement for some time. SummerSchool just hooked it up so you guys can see it. We really need to test this as we would like to turn on the subscriber email again where we send out the extended stats.

    In any case, go to http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/profile/edit/info/

    You will see a section down the right hand side with all the notifications available and your email address. Do make sure its a correct address before enabling it.

    We are likely going to enable this for new users and let them disable at their leisure.

    Check them please and give us feedback if you would.

      looking at it right now, brb

      looks good. I dont think i would use the boxes there because its easier to just look at the top right corner. But i can't wait for the enabled stats <3

          It works well for me so far. Just posted a comment on my profile to see if it does anything.

          Edit: How long does it take to send an e-mail?

                          That's pretty cool, though I honestly don't see what's wrong with looking at the top right of the FFR page to see if you have a new comment somewhere.

                              It's good for people who don't check FFR constantly (i.e. lots of non-subscribers).

                              Of course it's useless for us people who pretty much stay on FFR the whole time we're at the computer. Either way it's a good feature and a good option to have.

                                  Heh, this is cool because I have my email setup so that it will forward all emails to my cell phone. Now whenever I get a new message I'll always know. lol

                                              Yea I noticed those three errors too, haha.

                                              Also, would it be possible to put the text of the message in the email in the case of wall posts?

                                                  what are some of the stats that we will be getting in the email?

                                                      right now, this is simply profile notifications. The stats email will get revisited in this process as we move forward.

                                                          Double posting to let everyone know, that this is now public. All users can enable / disable notifications at will.

                                                          Enjoy folks for those that want to use these.
