    Torley Wong

This man has amazing music, yet so few of his songs are in FFR.

EPILOGUE TO A LIFETIME OF MUSIC Learning to let go is a difficult thing, and actually letting go can be even harder. There is only so much tension that can...

Go lisin to these, they're amazing, hopefully more of his piano songs get in FFR.

actually I agree with SG, his music is nothing amazing. It's pretty emotional and not bad to listen to but if you're going to go in terms of stepability, he has very little to offer outside of TGWP. New One has it's moments but a lot of it would be pretty boring.

This guy has lots of good stuff. It's above decent, that's for sure. And TGWP is really good. People who don't like it just think their cool because their fighting the power. That's what I think anyway.

post-dumps abstractly represent the existential nihilism that the song invokes in the listener with negative space, evoking the ephemeral nature of the mind - the journey of stepmania begins in hope yet soon becomes corroded into a dialectic of futility, leaving only a sense of dread and the unlikelihood of a new synthesis

              pffffffffffffffft

tgwp is as steppable as... uh, something bad for stepping

and trust me, I've spent 5 hours at one point listening to his music. only 3-5 songs caught my attention

and those who don't think tgwp is overrated, to hell with them. if you enjoy it that's fine, but don't make that dump of a recording into something to be praised so profusely

ok that came out a little strong, but good piano solos are one of the hardest types of music to compose. I've rarely heard anything good recently. seriously

A lot of his songs lack proper depth and mastering I find. I'm not sure if this is the case with the CD (I don't have it) but some of his songs just seem... hollow.

TGWP I find enjoyable, but it doesn't seem to have enough energy. It drifts along too much for my tastes, but I certainly don't think it's too bad. Its obvious he was pretty good at piano, and the nostalgia factor rules of course.

Gunmetal Tiara would be great if stepped by the proper person, reminds me of VS.

                    Re: Torley Wong

His music is good ambient background noise. It's NOT good for stepping.

It's just too repetitive, and takes too long to build up.

His techno, that is. The piano stuff I haven't heard that much of.

Yeah, I agree with this. His piano stuff is okay but his, I guess, 'synthetic' music lacks texture and it makes the majority of his music pretty unappealing.
