What does it go by? Top 1000 Overall or Average Rank? If overall it needs to be updated if it hasn't already been. I'm thinking of getting one if it gets updated.

It's overall. But they've already said that another top 1000 shirt probably won't be happening. At least, not for a while. -

Last time it went my Overall Rank, but i'm hoping they switch it to the top 1k avranks, because those are the truely skilled FFR-ers.

it's overall rank from ~feb 2007.
and, if i have any say in the decision, there will never be another shirt like the top1000 shirt again. i'm completely against it for a bunch of reasons. many of which i've listed in other threads.
and seeing as how the decision on this batch of shirts was basically all mine... i have a strong suspicion that i'll have a say in future shirt designs.RIPComment

I think it would be a good idea if it were to be update like once a year or two. Maybe it could be scaled down to the Top 500.

Scaling it down to a lower number makes about half the issues of why there won't be another one -worse- and not -better-Comment
