BodySurf: Audiosurf + Wii Balance Board + Motion Controls = Awesome - Flash Flash Revolution
BodySurf is a (somewhat lengthy) GlovePIE script that manipulates the input of the Balance Board to work with Audiosurf. It's fairly sophisticated, and includes Wiimote motion controls, special controls for each character, weight calibration, and a few play options.

I am considering buying it, but I won't if it is terrible.
As for moving from side to side, it is hard to give it just enough of a shift to stay in the middle lane. It gets easier as time goes on, but there is a learning curve.
I saw a flyer on a bulletin board at school asking for high-functioning aspergers/autism people to participate in some kind of experiment, and all I could think was, that sounds like a great place to meet girls.
