    I have a job interview in the morning

    As I'm still technically on my "year out career break" until October this year, I have some free time and a lack of money coming in, so I have been looking for a temporary job.

    Thankfully, I've found a perfect 3 month temp job working for Channel 4 (British TV station) as a Technical Support Officer for their 4-On-Demand service.

    I have an interview tomorrow morning.

    So ya, wish me luck.

          Why does it suck? Because of the inane questions people ask all day or what?

          You have to realise that my current job is chasing down absent fathers to get them to pay child support for their children. Trust me, Tech Support would be a holiday in comparison.

                  Channel 4 is the only channel that I would watch if I actually watched TV. If only for Peep Show / Darkplace / Father Ted / Frasier, etc.

                  It's just a shame I watch around 1 hour of TV a week or so. Yay for embellishment on application forms.

                      Channel 4 has too much American stuff on it, which is just as bad as British programmes.

                      Then they make it even worse by taking half of them off, and putting like 3 months of Big Brother on.

                                          Kind of. It's more that you never immediately know the answer to the question. It would be fine if you had time to actually investigate everything but usually you have to rush and not give something the attention it deserves. Also I find that 95% of the time the issue is the dumbass who reported it either didn't know what he was doing or you solved the issue for them already but they couldn't implement your solution.

                                              I'm not sure if this happens for other sectors of work, but I work for the government and they have a scheme that basically means you can apply for a year out in order to try to better yourself or improve your skills / go for a course / whatever. They then give you your job back after the year 100% guaranteed.

                                              It's just so they don't lose employees that they need / want to keep.
