    ps2 pad to pc help

so i got an adapter to hook up my ps2 ddr pad to the pc to play stepmania for my feet, its working alright, every button works perfectly, the only thing that it WONT let me do is up/down at the same time and left/right at the same time. so i was wondering if someone could tell me how to fix this problem.

Use the keyboard for the up & down/left & right at the same time.

Common problem with USB adapters. It IS a USB adapter I presume? I'm not sure what you can do. Some adapters are just bad, which is why 1: you either have to do a lot of research, or 2: spend a lot of money to get a good adapter. I don't recommend USB adapters myself. I've had more than one bad experience with them, this same problem in fact.

My suggestion is to get Parallel Port Adapter (such as this one here), which connects through the LPT (printer) port. They're cheap, easy to use, and I have NEVER had any problems with mine. A guide on how to connect one can be found here.
