been working on this off and on for a while now

It's not finished but I'd like some comments while I feel like working on it.

Not sure about the string intro, I think I might remove it if someone agrees.

V0 VBR MP3, progressive trance, yadda yadda

If you get bored with the build up skip to 2:36, pardon the poor recording on the staccato strings that come in at 2:36

Yeah, I'm thinking about recording myself playing to replace the less-than-satisfactory Orkester sample, hopefully that'll make it more interesting but I need to acquire some decent recording equipment first.

I'm definitely planning on expanding on the staccato strings that faintly come in at 2:36 to make the whole intro actually relevant, maybe that'll liven things up. I disagree with the kick though.

Lately I've been finding it hard to get into a mood to do anything though, you know what I mean? I'll open FL, listen through it once, then nothing will come out. Oh well

Actually I wrote a song that completely deviates from my norm for my girlfriend's birthday over May.

I think maybe my problem with this particular track is that I basically put most of it together after she broke up with me, but now that we're back together the song is almost alien to me.

Trance has lately started to bore me though -- I've got concepts written out for me and a friend starting a post-rock group, but I don't quite know how to fledge those out yet. It's awfully more fun to compose post-rock than trance, but I also feel limited by my production abilities in that area as opposed to trance so I suppose it's daunting haha.
