Do compositions from the Romantic Era still have copyright laws?

I'm creating a remix of Danse Bacchanale, and if it should go well, It'd seem real nice on my album. If I can't put it on the album (which is going to be free) without talking to someone first, I want to know if it's worth the trouble.

Even if the owner of the copyright is still publishing the work?

Your conclusion you drew was right though, I'm sure.

      Alright, thank you.

You know, this could lead to me doing some more modern interpretations...

I'm working on the intro at the moment. I'll go ahead and post the unmastered version for some criticism.
