    Direct Note Access

Now I don't know much (read: anything) about mixing, recording, or anything dealing with the production of music. Found this product, though, that can supposedly auto-tune chords of instruments given certain parameters. Similar to Auto-Tune, which could manipulate one note, this software will allow mostly untalented artists to make 'perfect' music.

link to the clip is here:

I'll leave this to you musicians to discuss, I just wanted to bring it to light.

I think this could finally let you rip lyrics straight from music too. Lots of possibilities. Thanks for the find!

I do plan on making a song with abundant samples (thank Sampling Masters CHANG and DJ Marcky for the influence). This could really help.

That is amazing...being able to do so much to a recording without it being in MIDI format. I could spend forever playing with it...

                  rofl, you're right.

i guess i didnt even realize there was something new coming out. I saw Melodyne and x'd out before i even realized what this thread was about.

                  I have Melodyne already, yes.

Now to go back and watch the video.

If you mean taking just the words off of a song, that will basically ALWAYS be impossible, unless the vocals are, for some reason, in a Hz range exclusive to them in a song. Otherwise, other parts of the song will always be removed with the words. I know because when I first started getting into music production, I had the same question.

Well I was thinking that it could remove all other pitch other than the vocals, and that piece itself being mixed so that vocals shone out.

Oh, well you can do that without a special program like this one, though, can't you? I've never actually tried to do what you're thinking of, but yeah.

Yes, that is what I meant by ripping lyrics. Probably should have said ripping vocals.

I'm aware of this. I am referring to worst case circumstances, but I think since this program can isolate layered pitches, the amount of EQ is reduced.
