    The Counterfeiters

Brilliant, brilliant movie, just saw it. Won Best Foreign Film Academy Award. Other than having a great story and genuine characters, brings up questions/discussions of morals, and when following them is too far. See it now at your local artsy theatre.
    9/10. Highly Recommended.

    Spoilers/Review

I loved the main character. He fit his role so well to the point of where you know nobody cared about him and he had very little, if any, expression.

Sally's main goal after being obtained was to survive and take care of his team while facing the huge moral dilemma of Burger who ultimately wanted to sabotage & setback the Nazi's.

The duel between Sally and the idealistic Burger achieves a tormenting level of moral complexity. Sally is selfish -- but in saving himself he is saving the whole team. In wanting to become a martyr, Burger is volunteering the others for martyrdom without their permission.

The Counterfeiters was a very enjoyable film which isn't something that can be said for many World War II "true stories". Its interesting exploration of adaptation and survival under extreme circumstances makes for an engaging story, and one that is definitely worth seeking out although Kolya's ultimate demise was a little forthcoming & predictable.

I definitely recommend seeing it. 8.5/10.
