I don't know anything about this "Logitech Elite," but I'm just wondering- whatever happened to your previous keyboard?

Also, try googling the keyboard for some reviews...if they're good, it probably can affect your decision to purchase it or not.

My previous keyboard? The razer, literally, one second its working fine and dandy. I went to get a drink, I came back, the keys took four seconds to respond. Restarting the computer, and unplugging and plugging back in the keyboard didn't help. This is my second razer keyboard. My keyboard before that, is a stock emachines piece of freaking crap that I'm using to type >_>. The keys feel all weird and stuff.
EDIT: I got the razer for christmas 2007

and its not working. I sadly, don't recommend razer keyboards anymore, because of this. But their mouses are fantastic. The razer actually got good reviews.

Unplugging a keyboard the improper way can break it, and it could overload your port on your computer, that may be what happened.

As for keyboards, here's what I've been looking at getting, good and cheap, unless you're looking for expensive stuff, which I think is pointless.

Also, I was looking at this for a bit, but I decided to not buy it if I was just going to buy the cheaper one already, and I don't know how this works with SM and such.

ALSO, a huge must, buy a USB wired keyboard, wireless you will get delayed response on keys, which will completely screw up your timing, and USB keyboards have a faster response time than PS2 keyboards from what I've heard at least. I have a PS2 keyboard, and have no problems with my timing, but I guess it's different in some cases.

The best keyboards are the logitech elite and the new, super-flat apple keyboards you can find in places like Best buy. It's basically like a laptop keyboard.

Low profile keyboards (Standard PS/2 or USB) or USB Gaming Keyboards, in my opinion.

May I suggest illuminated ones? lol

I have a notebook...fkn I JUST broke through my arrow keys (used Dr. Pepper Cardboard to fix it

!) but overall...perhaps it's because I've had it for so long...but i prefer this kind of keyboard...nice and flat and perfect for index...i've never seen the apple one...but if it's like a notebooks...i may buy it, cause I too need one...or I might go with something more bumpy/grippy, I guess since I'm home from school I should check into this all -_-

is what I have. It looks a little awkward but is wonderful to use. Little loud, but I've been pounding on this thing for upwards of 2 years and it hasn't failed yet.

Yep, thats right,the keyboard used by all the pros, thaor, bluemystic, reach, rebirth, dynam0, glove, etc. And it was new, too bad they don't make them anymore and you can only get them online =/.

- fast keyboard response time
- light keys with sharp click sound/touch
- being able to register at least 6 keys at the same time

They look real neat, but have horrible response time for sm. i am typing on one -right now.- they're forty bucks and not nearly worth it. the arrow keys are -reeeeeeally- bad and cant register hands. spread setups are ok, but feels like your playing on j7 because of the fluky response time. i quite often just get misses randomly. also it moves around a lot, especially on arrow keys. if you want to tape down your keyboard for a pseudo-laptop effect go ahead, but its honestly not like a laptop at all. plus i cant do jacks :ver ver sad:

my friend has the same one (we bought them at the same time since they looked awesome for sm), works the same. save your money play sm on a pc
